Sunsuit

For the longest (ever since Julia was a baby) time I've been wanting to make a vintage inspired sunsuit but I never got around to making Julia one. This year I made it a point to make one for Evie. I searched on-line for vintage patterns but I couldn't fine one that I liked. As the summer approached I still didn't have a pattern. Finally I found a pattern I liked but the measurements were too small. I just couldn't wait anymore, so I decided to make one. I took the idea from the vintage pattern that I saw on-line and drafted the pattern. I finished it this Saturday, just in time for the hot 4Th of July weekend we are having here. I took these pictures as we were leaving our house for a birthday party. She wouldn't let me take the pacifier out of her mouth for pictures. Oh well, at least the paci matches her outfit, that was not on purpose though. I wanted to take pictures before it got messy of birthday cake. I have to make a few corrections in my pattern but overall I think it looks so cute on her, and I plan to make another one for her.
