PLAYSUIT AND A FUN TRIP

DSC_1212 DSC_1211 DSC_1216 DSC_1226 Lately I have been sewing the girls some summer clothes. I made this playsuit for Evie a couple of weeks ago. I used a vintage pattern that I bought at a thrift store. The top is a very simple style that crosses over in the back. I love the cherry blossom print that I found at one of my favorite fabric stores. At first I wasn't going to get it, but then I remembered I had some linen in the same mustard color that's in the print and thought to the make the shorts in the linen. The buttons are vintage and I think they're so cute, now I'm obsessing over vintage buttons and want to buy some more. Nowadays they don't make buttons like they use too. The shorts are hightwaisted with elastic in the back. I had to adjust the shorts, cause my Evie is petite and they were too big on her. Now they fit her perfectly. The top is also big but she could grow in to it. IMG_0097 This weekend we took a trip to Disneyland. We got a hotel near Disneyland and stayed a couple of nights. We ended up going to Disneyland on Monday thinking it wouldn't be as crowded but wow it was crowded. We weren't too happy about that, but the girls had a great time and it gave me a reason to have Evie wear her new outfit with her new See Kai Run sandals. It was perfect to, cause it was a warm day and I got some cute pictures out if it too. IMG_0100 IMG_0104 IMG_0101 I can't stand the cuteness! Julia is wearing Misha Lulu tee from the new Spring-Summer line, with Gap leggings and Salt Water sandals.

That's an adorable outfit! I love vintage patterns. My mom still has the ones she used when I was little but sadly, my girls have outgrown them. Perhaps I should go check out the thrift stores!
