A SKIRT FOR ME

DSC_1246

I made this denim skirt a few weeks back. I had a linen skirt that I loved wearing last Summer, but I wore it so much the back pocket ripped. I kept the skirt thinking I could fix the pocket but I never got around to it. This year I've been wanting a denim skirt, but didn't want to spend a lot on buying one. I remembered how much I liked that linen skirt and since I had some denim, I figured I remake the skirt.

Since it was already ripped I took it apart to get the front and back patterns. It made it a lot easier getting the exact fit. This Mother's Day I got to wear my new skirt. I'm really happy how it turned out and will probably wear it a lot this Summer. Easy mom attire. I wore it with a basic black tank top and a Target sweater. I had this vintage enamel pin that I hardly wear, I think it adds a little bit of fun to the outfit. Can you tell that this season I'm really into mustard/yellow colors?
