Now that we are well in to Summer the girls have been swimming a lot and will be all Summer long, both of them love being in the water. Both of our parents have swimming pools that we get to enjoy anytime we want, and we have also been going to the YMCA and enjoying the pool there. Every time they get out of the pool they're cold, Julia has a hooded terry cover up that she uses but Evie didn't have one. All I had was a towel to cover her up in, but she was still cold, so I made her this robe. I made the pattern which was pretty easy to draft since I only had to draft a front, a back, and a hood. For the hood lining I cut a vintage pillowcase that I had. The print reminds me of Summer, I love the colors. I also cut out a flower from the same pillowcase and appliqued it. Not only does she use it when she gets out of the pool but also after bath time.

Hanging out poolside. I love seeing her wear her robe it looks so warm and cozy on her.

Finally decided to get in to the water.

The robe came out great! I love the vintage fabric you used. Miss Evie looks adorable in it :)
hi ana! thank you so much for your sweet comment! i love your blog...you are SUCH a talented seamstress, and your girls are so cute!
That's very cool- my little guy still wears a hooded robe he's had since he was a newborn... It's too small but I can't find one I like as much. Great that you actually made one.
