For this outfit I got inspired by the anchor and boat print fabric. I was originally planning on making the same short set that I made Evie here, but I decided to change the style up a bit. Since the original vintage pattern I used for Evie's shorts was a size 2T, I first had to make the pattern a size 5T then I changed the hem to a curved hemline and added a hand embroidered anchor.
I love smocked sundresses, so I made her a smocked top. Of course I didn't hand smock the top that probably would have taken me the rest of Summer to finish, so I used the next best thing, elastic thread and my machine, and there you have instant smocking!
This outfit reminds me of something I would have worn as a kid and I love it!

Once again...great job! I love the print on the top and the applique is too cute! I've been feeling a little nautical myself when buying stuff for Lily :)
